Crawling = a whole new ball game

In June Penny started crawling, which made life a bit more interesting.
It was also in June that we went on an adventure with mother’s group to the Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.

We also decided it was time to move Penny’s cot base lower because she started pulling herself upright.

Penny discovered my laptop. So [...]

Penny May celebrates May

In May we let Penny get messy. I think if at the end of the day you are grubby and dirty then you have had a pretty good day.

But all this mess meant Penny needed a lovely hot bath every evening.

After a couple of stories, it is bedtime.

Every night we would put Penny [...]

Life gets busy

So it turns out, having a baby is so very time consuming. If you were to look at this blog before this point you would think Penny is still 4 months old. In fact, she is now 11 months old - nearly a whole year old!
How about I catch you up a bit…
As Penny [...]

February and Penny is 4 months old

February was a busy month for Penny. She met many developmental miles stones and really ‘woke up’
She is a real Mummy’s girl, and over February she became very attached to me. Which is lovely…but also means I am not allowed to leave her side for very long.

Penny is now 4 months old and I have written a total of 4 blog posts about her. I blame her. She likes to have my constant attention. And I am very very happy to give her my constant attention! This post is about what she got up to in her 3rd month, January.

It was hard work preparing for Christmas day, she would snooze in the stroller while I did Christmas shopping.

Each year, Santa drives past my parent’s house. [...]

In Hospital

Penelope was born beautiful and perfect. Sadly I was not doing so well so we ended up spending 5 days in hospital.
Due to the epidural I had an intense headache, a roaring sound in my ears and a sensitivity to light. I was put on endone to help with the pain. But the endone made [...]

Penelope May is Born

Our baby was due to be born on the 19th of October. And on the 19th of October my belly looked like this:

10 minutes after the photo was taken, my waters broke. My mum, Lindsay and I went to the hospital. I wasn’t yet in labour so they sent us home. For the next 36 [...]

Baby Shower

A few weeks ago my lovely Friends Mel and Lea organised a baby shower for me and Lindsay.
Mel made gorgeous invitations, managed the RSVPs and cooked up a storm, making cakes, biscuits and salads.
Black Forest cake! Yum!

The party was held at my Mum and Dad’s house (Thanks mum and dad!) Traditionally baby showers are [...]
