I plan to make this my last post about the wedding, and then it should all be out of my system
We had the wedding ceremony and reception at The Retreat at Wisemans. They were wonderful, really really nice. The resort was beautiful, and the rooms so comfortable and clean. Cassi the events organiser [...]
Wedding Venders
Girls
I may seem a little bit obsessed with our wedding…but I am trying to blog about every teeny tiny detail for the following reasons:
1. My grandparents (Oma and Opa) in Holland were not able to make the wedding, so I am trying to give them as much detail as possible so they can feel like [...]
The Reception
Jacob my ‘baby’ brother was our MC for the evening.
He introduced himself and our bridal party while Lindsay and I stood waiting nervously outside the Marquee.
Jacob then introduced us as Julia and Lindsay Holmwood (I think thats what he said)
My second cousin Hallie blew bubbles for us as we walked into the marquee.
Considering that Lindsay [...]
Photos
We headed off into the shade for some family and bridal party photos.
We rounded up the different family groups, then let them return to the other guests to enjoy the champagne and canapés.

The Ceremony
The Ceremony

She started her introduction while Lindsay and I whispered [...]

But thanks to the torrential rain, walking 4oom to the ceremony in a long ivory wedding through muddy grass wasn’t an option. (I was more than happy [...]
Getting Ready
I started the day going for a swim with my Bridesmaids Kat and Mel as well as Little-Katherine the flower girl. Heading back to our rooms to prepare for breakfast I was informed of a slight dilemma with the timing of breakfast. The restaurant had told some guests that breakfast was over at 9am….but we [...]
The day before.
The day before the wedding, Lindsay and headed initially to Berowra to have breakfast with the Dutch and Indonesian relatives staying with my parents. It took couple of hours to organise 12 people for a wedding and 2 nights away from home, once we were finally all ready we all hopped into our respective cars [...]
Thats Mrs Holmwood to you!
Last Monday, the 29th of December 2008, Lindsay and I got married. It was an amazingly beautiful day, one of those blink and you miss it days.
The most memorable moments for me were:
walking down the isle with my Dad, Mum and Brother
My amazingly talented musician friends playing for the ceremony
Getting flies stuck in my veil [...]
