Tong Tong Fair

To make up for my blogging sins, I am going to write many blogs today…because wrongs are always righted with many writes…or something.

While in Den Haag we went to the Tong Tong Fair which is an Indonesian/Asian cultural fair.

You can find it by the giant white tent with kites being flown over it:

Tent and kite

Its a series of tents and marquees full of food stalls, restaurant stall type things, markets selling fresh fruit, snacks, beautiful things,, clothes cooking ingredients etc etc etc

One of our first missons was to find a Pad Thai, because Thai food in Holland is…non existent.
But we found a thai food stall, I nearly hugged the thai chef.

Then we found some colourful jelly?

We did some spending and met up with Beer
Beer and I went to Indonesia

Beer bought us dinner…twice

The lanterns were soo pretty

We watched a live cooking show which was boring

We saw some vietnamese dancing

We did some taste testing of Speckoek, Spec means bacon, Koek is cake…but there was no bacon in that cake. It was layers upon layers of cake about 3mm think baked on top of each other.

And I lusted over this light
I need I need

can you see the “I want I want” in my face?

On the way home Beer rode his bike while Lindsay and I walked. We thought we would be really funny and hide behind a tree sapling and take *paparazzi* like photos of Beer!
