Marlene and David had a full and exciting day planned for us! We hoppped into the car and first drove to the beautiful house from the 1800s which they are doing up and plan to move into in May. It is so huge and will look amazing when its finished. The exterior is beautiful original sandstone.
We then hopped back into the car and drove to Loch Lomand,
Lindsay with Marlene and David on the Jetty at Lock Lomand. We took a wander around the town of Luss and had scones and tea at a lovely cafe. The town is made up of old miner’s cottages, they look tiny! but very cute with beautiful flowering gardens.
Then it was time to head up into the highlands. The mountains are breathtaking! We stopped off to take some photos.
Just to make it even more amazing there was a bagpiper there playing for all the tourists stopped at the lookout.
We all climbed back into the car and drove through Fort William on the way to the base of Ben Nevis. The highest Mountain in all o f the UK.
We had a yummy picnic lunch, before climbing all the way to the top of the mountin….
well up a little path where we could see the moutain.
that was hard work enough and we decided to check out the lambs instead.
Black faced lambs
pure white, looking like they are having a chat, lambs
and mentally unstable mutated lambs
oh wait….thats just me.
We took photos of ourselves and the moutains just to pretend we had climbed the mountain.
David drank some of the river water, because it looks so fresh and clean…and I decided to try some too! It tasted like…water….chemical free water!
The water from from this river was on our menu that day.
After visiting Ben Nevis (Ben means mountain by the way) we were driven to the Falls of Dochart. Amazingly beautiful water gushing over rocks right through the middle of a little village.
It was getting dark by this time and so we turned back towards Marlene and David’s place. We feasted on Indian food before watching a Movie called: ‘9 to 5′, an old Dolly Parton movie which turned out to be hysterical…so watch it!
