The day before the wedding, Lindsay and headed initially to Berowra to have breakfast with the Dutch and Indonesian relatives staying with my parents. It took couple of hours to organise 12 people for a wedding and 2 nights away from home, once we were finally all ready we all hopped into our respective cars and drove off.
Half way through Berowra Lindsay and I realised our convoy of cars had all pulled out and left Will, our Best Man behind! Its ok, he had his own car.
Our first stop was…McDonalds. We had forgotten in the chaos to have lunch.
We arrived at Wiseman’s Ferry by 2.45pm just in time to have a quick rehearsal and a swim before dinner.
The rehearsal went well, with only nice yelling as oppose to angry yelling.
My aunt Yvonne did a fantastic job pretending to be the celebrant despite not being sure what a celebrant was (I didn’t know the dutch word for celebrant).
After quick swim, and attempt to drown James Dumay we head up to the Wisman’s Inn Hotel for dinner. We sat out on the lovely, new and large deck eating, drinking and being merry. 60 of our guests were there to celebrate with us. It was a great opportunity for them to get to know each other and get into party mode.
Lindsay and I were exhausted so headed to bed after some of our friends popped in to say goodnight on their way to the bridesmaid’s room next to ours to continue partying/throwing chocolates at each other (or so I have been told).
Next up, the morning of the wedding.
